Sous Chef required £25k +
The Gamekeeper is a newly refurbished pub, privately owned and is becoming a food led pub.
We are in need of another chef before we can take it any further, already at full capacity for the kitchen, but plenty of growth potential.
This role is to work along side the head chef. The kitchen has full responsibility for the menu, ordering, costing, etc, almost a business within a business.
You will be experienced, have an absolute passion for food. Be willing to step forward and suggest new ideas, create new dishes. We aim for fresh, beautiful food, at a gastropub level. You will have ambition to take on your kitchen as head chef, as we have a 2nd location that will have its own restaurant in the future. We believe people eat with there eyes, so a well presented dish is paramount.
You will be reliable, enjoy your job, have a sense of humor and above all the ability to cook a well designed meal. Have the ability to take charge of the kitchen on chefs day off and maintain standards.
This role has approx working hours of 10am to 9pm, but can be worked with head chef to both peoples benefit.
