The Company and the Role:
An established Private Member’s Club with over 200 bedrooms, restaurants, bars and hospitality with substantial event, conference and banqueting facilities. The club is accredited to the European Standard for Service & Business excellence, Located in the very heart of London’s West End, it is superbly located and sets the standards for quality and service in the Private Club sector.
This is a hands-on role where you will work with the kitchen brigade and manage all aspects of food production, presentation and service.
The Club is looking for an enthusiastic, innovative and quality focused Sous Chef to join their team and work alongside their Head Chef managing a brigade of 25. The position is based in Central London and is permanent.

Key Features of the Role:
You will also be required to take responsibility for all food production and be able to demonstrate effective kitchen organisational and management skills.
You will be required to manage all aspects of the catering function in the absence of the Head Chef.
The Club is looking for a proactive forward thinking ambitious Sous Chef who will perform consistently in line with the club’s high standards.

Knowledge and Skills:
Must have excellent food production and presentation skills, the ability to organise effectively and have excellent kitchen management and catering business acumen.
Banqueting experience as well as restaurant experience is essential.
Some fine dining experience would also be an advantage.
It is important to have had supervisory/management experience with experience in a similar Hotel/Club/Contract Catering operation.
A good knowledge of Health and Safety and Food Hygiene is required and the ability to work alone or as part of a team under pressure is essential.

What’s on Offer:
Basic salary of £30,000 with tips every quarter and a bonus of 1 weeks’ salary at Christmas.
