Located in Waterloo Street within the historical building which housed Glasgow’s first electric power station and now in the heart of Glasgow’s financial district, the hotel has 94 luxury bedrooms and the Limelight Bar & Grill has capacity for 70 diners in the Grill Room and another 50 seated in the Bar. www.hotelindigo.com

 

 

We are now recruiting for a Sous Chef

Requirements

Your focus will be to:

 Provide full training and support to your team in the menu items and expectations, brand standards and Health and Hygiene essentials.
 Comply with the Company Food Safety Management System for the food being cooked on-site and ensure the team are also fully compliant.
 Provide Health & Safety training and co-ordinate sessions for COSHH and Manual Handling.
 Work closely with the Bar & Grill Manager and their team to ensure optimum food knowledge and service.
 Monitor and maintain the consistently high standards that will be required of the Limelight’s food delivery
 Develop the kitchen brigade and work alongside the Head Chef to create a training culture within the kitchen
 Manage purchasing levels and stock controls to ensure delivery due diligence is maintained
 Work with the Bar/Grill food service team to develop initiatives and promotions to build and maintain restaurant clientelle.

You will have a proven track record that demonstrates your food preparation skills and a hands-on leading from the front style of kitchen management that will inspire the team to deliver. Your passion for food and creativity will enable you to excite and share your knowledge to motivate and train developing chefs within the team.

Applicants will ideally hold an intermediate (Level 3) Food Safety qualification
