An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced sous chef to join our friendly team at the beautiful Ellenborough Park hotel in Cheltenham.

This is a senior position within the brigade and comes with all the responsibilities and accountabilities that you would expect in a role at this level. We are looking for a candidate who is capable of deputising where necessary, can maintain and help push our standards higher. Who, can mentor and guide junior staff, whilst also pushing themselves to deliver an outstanding product. The senior roles within the kitchen bring a shared responsibility and collaborative ethos to Ellenborough Park.

The position will allow full career development and inclusion into the mechanics of running a successful kitchen. The sous chef will report to the head chef and the executive chef and be instrumental in pushing the brigade and the hotel to new heights

The prerequisite is the ability to follow instructions and articulate standards to those below you whilst personally driving the product higher in a business that has a multitude of different food outlets and requirements. Rosette experience is essential, as is the ability to positively respond to very diverse business needs.

Experience as a Sous chef in a similar environment is required although it could be an opportunity for an exceptional junior sous to take the next step.
