Senior Sous Chef for for this Award winning 2 Rosette, Restaurant with Rooms THE PIG Hotel in Brockenhurst
Who are we looking for?
Head Chef, Dan Gover is now looking for an Enthusiastic, and Passionate Senior Sous Chef to join the team at one of the most exciting and rapidly growing hotel and restaurant groups in the UK, THE PIG Hotel in Brockenhurst.
Previous experience necessary to a 2 Rosette level is preferable, with a knowledge of the classics, and a passion for honest local produce is a must.
As Senior sous Chef you will report to the Head Chef, Dan Gover.
- You will be responsible for running the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef.
- Help manage food cost, & maintain standards of health & Safety in the kitchen.
- Have input towards the menu development &implementing new dishes.
- Support junior team member’s progression.
The role is a permanent full time position requiring the successful candidate to work 5 days out of 7 with one early and one late shift.

This is an utterly genuine reinvented way of running the kitchen; the menus change by the minute depending upon what the forager turns up with or what the kitchen gardener deems to be in perfect condition.
Home grown with clarity of flavour, true to the micro seasons and influenced by the forest – these are the drivers of the food style. Our further commitment is the 25 mile menu – whereby some 80% of fresh ingredients are sourced in the local area.
Awarded with 2 Rosettes and a strawberry for our locally sources menu by AA and are Michelin guide recommended.
