We are looking for a Senior Sous Chef who has strong management skills and can lead and develop the team in the absence of the Head Chef. Holiday Inn Bolton Centre has 132 bedrooms, with extensive food & beverage offerings and busy conference and banqueting suites, including our unique offering of Cloisters Suite. We are searching for a highly motivated individual who has held a similar position.
You need to be used to working in a busy kitchen with volume, business diversity and banqueting and have the ability to provide exceptional personal guest service. Clear, effective communication and a focused, yet approachable management style will be key as you instil your qualities in the team. As well as being a very creative chef, part of your duties will include taking financial control of the kitchen so strong knowledge of stock control, purchasing, costing and menu planning skills are imperative. You will have a hands on approach, high levels of attention to details and empathy for your colleagues.
You will have a passion for producing fresh quality food, a positive outlook and be an excellent communicator who is able to build important relationships with the front of the house team.
You will adhere strictly to food safety standards, company policies and procedures and maintain a safe working environment, along with complying with the Health and Safety regulations.
In return we offer an excellent salary, hours of work will be 40 hours in accordance with the rota. Other benefits include meals on duty, membership of the gym, staff discounted stays in our hotels.
Upon successful completion of your probationary period you will also receive £500 incentive.
