Norton House Hotel & Spa
We are recruiting for a Pastry Sous Chef to deliver high standards of cuisine within our 1 rosette restaurant, private dining and weddings, creating fantastic memories for our guests.
You will be running and managing our busy pastry section, and as such must have previous relevant experience within a busy pastry department.
The position involves planning and writing menus for our restaurant, lounges, afternoon teas, private dinners and weddings.
Candidates will also be responsible for staff training, health and safety, food hygiene legislation and compliance, and ongoing training and development of themselves and staff.
You will work as part of an experienced team and will be provided with excellent training and development.
Competencies of a Pastry Sous Chef:
You must be passionate about delivering outstanding hospitality to our guests whilst demonstrating sound food knowledge
You must be enthusiastic, dedicated and focused, and have a genuine passion for food
The ability to establish rapport and deliver high standards of service with a genuine and approachable manner is essential, even when working under pressure
Previous experience in a similar environment is essential
