Our client is an award winning restaurant, specialising in British cuisine, located in Epping.

To be considered for this exciting opportunity you should already have at least 2 years experience as a Pastry Chef de Partie, with strong experience in British cuisine and ideally within a similar environment.

Our client requires potential candidates to:

  • Possess good culinary skills
  • Be calm under pressure
  • Understanding how to appropriately delegate tasks
  • Managing and training any demi-chef de parties or commis working with you

Desirable Skills / Experience are:

  • Previous management experience
  • Experience covering the role of Sous Chef in the absence or Sous / Head Chef
  • Excellent communication skills

Key Responsibilities may include:

  • Prepare, cook and present dishes within your speciality
  • Ensuring you and your team have high standards of food hygiene and follow the rules of health and safety
  • Monitoring portion and waste control to maintain profit margins
  • Managing and training any demi-chef de parties or commis working with you
  • Help develop the junior chefs
