The Company and the Role:
The Company is setting a new benchmark by combining local produce and a table service.
Seeking a permanent Pastry Chef. No late nights or split shifts. just outside Andover.
Restaurant offers table service and a full fresh food seasonal breakfast and lunch menu.
Fresh cream tea options, cakes, scones and desserts are proving very popular.
All pastry items (cakes, scones and desserts) are prepared and cooked from fresh.
Ingredients sourced from own farm shop and grown on site where possible.
Responsible for working and supporting the kitchen team in the production of all pastry items.
Directed through the daily shift plan and under the guidance of the senior kitchen personnel.
Responsible for strict adherence of all “Safer Food Better Systems” and procedures.
Maintaining quality and consistency of all food produced in line with specification and recipes, clear labelling and production procedures.
OWN TRANSPORT IS ESSENTIAL!
Key Features of the Role:
NO LATE NIGHTS, NO SPLIT SHIFTS and EVERY OTHER WEEKEND OFF.
As a Pastry Chef you work 45 hours per week, 5 days a week from 07:00.
A sleeves rolled-up attitude Pastry Chef with desire to succeed as a team member.
Working under a very talented Head Chef and Sous Chef management team.
Working with an ever changing fresh and vibrant menu.
Ensuring a clean and tidy pastry workstation.
As Pastry Chef you need to be organised, able to follow instructions and procedures.
Able to produce menu orders including scones, cakes and desserts within specifications.
Ensuring high standards and quality are met, following the rules of health and safety.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
To be a success you need to be an accomplished Pastry Chef.
Own transport essential to get to site.
Proven Pastry Chef experience, food preparation and daily fresh pastry and cake creation.
Familiar with current legislation’s regarding food hygiene, safety, risk assessments etc.
Essential that you are a professional communicator, who can respect work colleagues.
Relevant certifications as both a practical and theoretical experience is essential.
Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
What’s on Offer?
This amazing Pastry Chef opportunity offers a basic annual salary ranging from £19K to £23K depending upon experience and interview trial assessment.
Tips available on top of the basic, which works out at roughly £100 - £200 per month.
No split shifts, no late nights, every other weekend off, working 45 hours per week, 5 days per week from 7am.
Fresh food cooking, using local seasonal ingredients to create pastry and dessert items.
