An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team at the Woodlands Park Hotel as Junior Sous Chef.

As a Junior Sous Chef at Woodlands Park Hotel we will provide room for your creativity, internal and external training opportunities, in-house competitions, chef workshops, an excellent salary package.

Duties & responsibilities of a Junior Sous Chef:

The role of Junior Sous Chef is a hands on role in which you will learn more of the management side of the business and supervise more than one section at a time. As Junior Sous Chef you will support the Head Chef in developing, managing and motivating the team, and assist in maintaining and achieving budgeted food costs. The role involves menu creation and planning.

Competencies of a Junior Sous Chef:

Applicants must be able to cope under pressure in a high volume environment. The ideal candidate will have a flexible attitude and will be committed to producing high quality food. The successful applicant will be able to work with and train junior members of the team, and be passionate about the food industry and current trends. Along with this the successful applicant will deputise in the absence of Senior Chefs.

Skills and qualification requirements of a Junior Sous Chef:

This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced Chef de Partie ready to step up, or a competent Junior Sous Chef looking for a new challenge.

The Woodlands Park Hotel is set in ten acres of peaceful Surrey countryside and offers 57 luxurious bedrooms, 9 Conference and Event rooms catering from 8-150 people, and two unique dining experiences; The magnificence of the Oak Room fine dining Restaurant, and the more casual modern elegance of Benson’s Brasserie.
