Key Features of the Role:
The venue is looking to build on this year’s fantastic growth and to further cement its reputation and market share through their unique international food concepts,
The menu contains an international theme that blends oriental and tropical dishes with great seafood options and classic favourites, using fresh and locally sourced ingredients to produce amazing food and dining experiences for their clientele.
You will manage and set the standards for the brigade in a busy kitchen, working on diverse menu items, and to service deadlines and targets, using your organisational skills, time management and Head Chef experience, taking great pride in your work and inspiring others.
The Company will require you to work 48 hours per week in shift patterns, usually 5 days working and 2 days off. Shifts can vary, but will generally be split into a breakfast shift, evening dinner shift or lunchtime till close shift.
The kitchen runs a profit margin, so, it is up to you to make sure that each ingredient used and plate of food is good value for money and well-proportioned, with no errors and looks amazing to the eye, creating a good balance between margin targets and customer expectations.
The Company will look at you to carry out the day to duties for the business and to make sure that new skills, knowledge and experiences are built up with the brigade so that each Chef under your leadership has a good base of knowledge and ability in all kitchen stations. For example, starters, fish, meats, soups, pastries, canapes, salads etc. Those that show the best aptitude, skill and talent and all round knowledge of the business will be prioritised for promotion within the group.

Knowledge and Skills:
The Company expects you to be an experienced Head Chef who has worked in a fresh food kitchen at a similar level, who is looking to move on to their next challenge or possibly an experienced Sous Chef looking for the next step up.
Your practical experience should be supported by some form of catering qualification.
You should have experience of working in a busy kitchen environment, having to manage your team, kitchen, time and food orders, with a passion for producing the perfect dish every time, whilst under pressure.
The Company is looking for a talented Chef who possesses ambition to continually develop themselves and others and who wants to make a name for themselves. As well as someone who can lead a team through respectful communication and as an involved team player.
You will need to have a good knowledge of hygiene and health and safety.

What’s on Offer?
A basic salary ranging from £26,000 - £32,000 (depending on experience) with a stock take bonus payment, based on kitchen margins achieved plus tips, salary package will be assessed after interviews and trial.
Contracted 48 hour working week. With the opportunity of paid overtime during the busy summer period after the contracted 48 hours per week have been worked.
