Who are we?
The Packhorse has been at this site in Affetside since the 15 th century, and this prestigious site, is one of the flagships within the estate. It has a wealth of history being particularly famous for its resident skull, reported to belong to the Early of Derby’s executioner. It has an excellent reputation for quality food drink and customer service. It holds a 70 seater indoor restaurant, a relaxed dining and drinking area within the rest of the pub, and further outdoor seating to enjoy the amazing views of the area. Walkers, dogs and families are all welcome at this site.

The role and you
Whether you work full time or part time, our customers are in your hands. You will be required to oversee the day to day activities of the kitchen at the site. You will be knowledgeable about all the dishes on our menu and how to support the site to turn out mouth- watering dishes with ease. You will produce all starters, mains and desserts as well as acting as a coach and mentor to any junior staff members. You will have a passion for fresh food, creativity and delivering food to high standards.
