The Company and the Role:
The Company is an award-winning group of gastro pubs with rooms, many of their establishments have been awarded with accolades and they are very much a food focused company with each pub having its own identity.
This Gastro Pub has a real old traditional feel to it with oak beams and low ceilings, situated just outside of Crawley in West Sussex and are currently looking for a Chef de Partie on a full-time permanent basis.
They are very much proud of working with the freshest seasonal ingredients, sourced locally wherever possible, their menus feature imaginative modern British cuisine alongside classic pub dishes.
Key Features of the Role:
A suburb opportunity in delivering season British food with all dishes created on site, meaning the successful Chef de Partie will need experience of working in a fresh food environment
When working in the kitchen being a great team player is essential with good organisational skills and the ability to thrive in a very busy environment, to an award-winning pub standard, enhancing the company’s reputation for consistently preparing cooking and presenting dishes to the right quality that is second to none.
Being a Chef de Partie does come with managerial responsibilities and is the first step in progressing up the ladder to becoming a Head Chef so there will be times where you will be required to manage and train any Demi-Chef de Partie’s or Commis Chefs working with you.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
To be successful in this role you will need to be an accomplished Chef de Partie ideally with experience of working in a fresh food kitchen at a similar position, or as a Senior Chef de Partie
Able to motivate others, possess excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills so that you can demonstrate in a trial interview, attention to detail and high standards.
Experience working with fresh and seasonal ingredients and possess ambition to continually improve yourself the business.
Previous experience in a similar role requiring a broad food knowledge and precise attention to detail is essential.
Experience in managing and training any Demi-Chef de Parties or Commis Chefs working with you.
What’s on Offer?
A competitive basic salary ranging from £19,500 - £24,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
Tips will be issued, roughly an extra £3000 per annum on top of your basic salary.
You will be working under a very talented, award winning Head Chef and brigade.
