The Company and the Role:
The Company is a multi-award winning, family run gastro pub chain operating 8 sites in the South East. Currently seeking a permanent Chef de Partie for their gastro public house located near Epsom, Surrey.
They are looking for a committed Chef de Partie with a passion for good food that is ready to continue developing their career in an award-winning venue.
Established in 2003 the Company is offering a salary up to £22,500 per annum, dependent on experience plus tips and benefits including a pension scheme, staff loyalty scheme after 3 months, Uniform / Chefs Whites provided, Childcare Vouchers
Key Features of the Role:
You will get the responsibility in overseeing a section of the kitchen, be it pastry, butchery, fish, sauces, vegetables and so on. Chances are that you'll be cooking great English pub cuisine with a little French twist.
Being a great team player with good organisational skills and the ability to thrive in a very busy environment, to an award-winning pub standard, enhancing the company’s reputation for consistently preparing cooking and presenting dishes to the right quality that is second to none.
Always be willing to help the Sous Chef and Head Chef to develop new dishes and menus.
Ensuring you and the team have high standards of food hygiene and follow the rules of health and safety.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
To be successful in this role you will need to be an accomplished Chef.
Ideally with experience of working in a fresh food kitchen at a similar level, or a Commis Chef looking to move up to the next level.
Previous experience in a similar role requiring a broad food knowledge and precise attention to detail is essential.
As this is a fresh food kitchen you must have experience and a desire to work with fresh and quality ingredients and possess ambition to continually improve yourself the business.
Experienced in managing and training any Demi-Chef de Parties or Commis Chefs working with you.
Able to communicate daily to the relevant departments.
Able to adhere to company standards and procedures set out.
What’s on Offer?
Basic salary will be in the region of £19,000 - £22,500 per annum depending experience and skill set
Tips which will be worth around £80 per week.
Benefits include pension scheme, staff loyalty scheme after 3 months and childcare vouchers, uniform / Chefs Whites provided.
Standard working week is 45 hours working 5 shifts a week which will include split shifts and weekends.
Working within a group which will help you grow and progress with progression always encouraged within.
