Delivery and Collection Advice and Information

Packing your items correctly is essential to ensuring speedy delivery and buyer satisfaction. We recommend the following tips to help you with a smooth and efficient exchange:

Package items carefully in boxes strong enough and large enough to fully enclose what you’re sending.

Make sure package is securely sealed using strong tape and has enough packing material to cushion the item in transit.

To safely pack your item, use crunched-up newspaper or buy bubble wrap which is available from Argos, Post office, Homebase and Staples, amongst others.

Ensure the postal address is clearly marked.

Double check the postal address with the buyer before sending.

Take a picture of the package and postal address for your record.

Dispatch items as quickly as possible.

Keep your buyer informed of progress.

All transactions are directly between the buyer and seller and it’s therefore up to you to decide how you will be paying for an item.
If the seller is local it’s a good practice to meet in public during the daytime so you can inspect the item, then decide if you wish to proceed with the sale.

Contact the seller by phone and get as much information as possible on the product, ask for receipts and any other documentation. Make sure you have the sellers information too, ask for a landline number to call on. If you’re buying online and receiving the item through the post you should make sure you are completely happy with what you are buying.
